Based in Shrewsbury, the Equipment Contracts Manager will ensure that the Services operational equipment, including tools, protective equipment, breathing apparatus, uniform and consumables, are efficiently provided and maintained.
The postholder will assist users in identifying needs, develop performance specifications and procure equipment and maintenance services from a range of specialist contractors. The postholder will also be responsible for the ongoing performance and risk management of suppliers and maintainers to ensure effective provision and ongoing resilience of these services.
The successful candidate must have a technical understanding of a range of equipment, experience in procurement and contract management, and an understanding of supplier risk management. Experience in managing procurement in accordance with public sector procurement legislation or using framework agreements, together with private sector commercial experience, would be an advantage.
