Technical Support Officer (2 posts)

Vacancies have arisen for two Technical Support Officers to support the Resources Department based at Headquarters, St Michael’s Street, Shrewsbury. One post will be based in Workshops with a fleet focus, and one in Technical services with an operational equipment focus.
Both posts holders will be the first contact point for vehicle and equipment users and will provide technical and administrative support to the Resources Department, or directly to vehicle and equipment users.
Duties involved are supporting the supply and maintenance of appliances, equipment, workwear, office and janitorial supplies, either directly or through supply and maintenance contracts.
Experience in procurement or contract administration would be advantageous.
Applicants must be able to communicate confidently with people at all levels. They must also be able to use their initiative, prioritise work and meet deadlines. The post holders will have a wide and varied workload including collection and delivery of equipment and vehicles.
Candidates must hold a current UK ordinary licence.
Experience in Microsoft Office, including electronic diary management, is essential.
